Houston Zoo

This 55-acre zoological park is located in Houston, Texas within the Hermann Park area which houses over 6,000 animals from 900 different species. Houston Zoo receives 2.1 million visitors annually and has been considered the second most visited zoo in the United States. The Houston Zoo aims to connect families, communities with animals and enable them to inspire the importance of saving wildlife.

Tickets

There will always be something for everyone at Houston Zoo. Either watching an elephant herd or new babies, Winnie and Teddy – splashing in their pool or maybe feeding a giraffe. If you like cats maybe step up your game to experience a thrilling jaguar walking overhead in South America’s Pantanal and so much more.

Tickets are available through December 31. Online reservations are required for ALL non-member guests at this time. Tickets will NOT be sold on-site at the Zoo. Members are no longer required to get reservation tickets prior to their visit to the Zoo. You will be directly accommodated by entering their Member Entrance and presenting your digital membership card.

Animal Encounters

A portion of each Animal Encounter purchase is directly going in protecting the animals in the wild. Purchasing an Encounter Gift Certificate allows you to get any of the experiences like Sea Lion Painting Experience, Gorilla Encounter, Cheetah Walk, Elephant Bath Experience and so much more. Recipients may redeem their certificate after six months from the date of the purchase.

Kid and Families

You have the chance to go outside and explore while playing, exploring, growing, and learning about both the Zoo and the local natural spaces all over in Houston. Fun experiences for young children age 18 months to five years can discover the zoo with the Zoo Sprouts programs that cost $20.00 per individual or cultivate the next generation of conservation heroes to Houston Zoo Teen Programs that seek to inspire teens to solve problems in many ways to save animals in the wild and empower them to influence others to take an action by example the Zoo Crew Explorers Program.
